Turnberrie's philosophy is to strengthen our community by providing a public place where all local people can associate with each other. By holding Special Events we are on our way to achieving this.

New class starting at Turnberrie's (depending on numbers) - Wednesdays from 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm

NEW - Children's Pro-Art Classes
For any young person in school year 9 and above - limited places!
Pro-Art is an on going art project that will give young people an opportunity to try out a range of different techniques wihtin art. Producing their own art work for public or private display.

We are holding our first charity event at Turnberrie's in aid of 'Hammer Out' Brain Tumour Support Group.
Only £3.00 per ticket (First 50 on entry get goody bag on arrival). Belly Dancing, Fashion Show, Photography/Portraits on the night of girls having fun, Massage, Jewellery, Beauty Products, Hair Technicians and lots more. Raffle Prizes kindly donated by local businesses within Thornbury.
Why not kick off the winter blues and gather some friends for a girly night out - Bar also open!
NEW - DRAWING & PAINTING AT TURNBERRIES COMMUNITY CENTRE - January
Looking to start a new hobby or brush up on your painting and drawing skills? Why not join a small friendly group for all abilities that meets at Turnberrie's on Wednesday evenings, 7-9pm. Tuition and/or support will be given for a variety of styles and techniques using different mediums and styles to portray subjects that include still life and life drawing.
The fees are £60 for 12 weeks - that is only £5 per 2 hour session!
NEW - 'SLIMMING WORLD' ON THE MOVE
Slimming World has a new venue, a new night and a new consultant. The club will be held at Turnberrie's Community Centre every Wednesday starting on 9 September, 10.00 am - 11.30 am in the Main Hall or 6.30 pm - 8.00 pm in the Cafe. Come and check us out and bring a friend. All are welcome.
Indian Cookery Classes - Bookings now being taken for March
Using easily available natural ingredients, Romy will teach you how simple it is to create the most delicious authentic Indian Cuisine.
Learn how to spice up your vegetarian dishes, cook a mild buttered chicken or how to prepare and freeze a time saving curry sauce from subtly spiced to hot.
What ever you cook you are guaranteed of taking home a different feast of flavours of your own creativity from every class!
Thornbury Community Garden - Open to Public from Saturday 13 September 2008
The Community Garden, situated next door to Turnberrie's is open everyday to the public, from morning till dusk. The main entrance is on Upper Bath Road. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the relaxing experience the garden offers!
